In the spirit of Halloween, one of the greatest survival horror video games gets the Still Gaming treatment. Dena goes in-depth with a awesome review. Have fun trick or treating! Remember to use Grade A eggs! ——————————————— From Dena: Okay, I’m posting this here because it’s come up more than once, and probably not for the last time, and I don’t feel like responding to every post about it separately. Some of you are confusing the movie with the game. In the movie it was explained that the “snow” was actually ash and a reason was given–in the game Dr. Kauffman refers to it as snow. The movie is in a completely different continuity that does NOT effect the continuity of the games. Harry is walking around in SNOW. Period.

Halloween Party Treats: Cookie Eyeballs

Fun cookie eyeballs make with ready made cookies, icing and candies. Quick easy and very cute. I used three methods for the eyeballs, edible ink marker (that doesn’t write well on candy melting wafers), food colour and “Cake Mate Scribblers” (icing in a tube that is designed to be used on cookies and dries hard and shiny) New cake pop coming up tomorrow. Thanks for watching!! music by Jason Shaw (You Tube’s Audionautix)

How to Throw a Spooky Halloween Party, with Jeffrey Moss | Pottery Barn

Organizing a spooky Halloween party inspired by classic literature can be a fun experience. For this video, Pottery Barn’s style expert Jeffrey Moss has based the theme of his Halloween party on Washington Irving’s famous book “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”. He shares a few tips about organizing parties based on classic literature. According to Jeffrey, literature inspired Halloween parties are easier to organize since they come with a guiding theme. To add more spooky features to your book theme Halloween party, Jeffrey suggests using Halloween string lights and lanterns filled with battery powered candles that last all night. The inclusion of warning signs and grave stones with customized names makes the party look like an extension of the book’s plotline. Just like the spooky surroundings, Jeffrey insists on creepy-looking food and seemingly-poisonous drinks too! Food shaped like severed fingers, skewers posing with red-colored drops and fake eyeballs in your wine glass can make the picture complete. Jeffrey also recommends limiting the Halloween decorations to a particular area in your home rather than letting it take over the entire surroundings. The use of headless portraits and Halloween masks is another way of adding more spooky features to your Halloween party.
